The total scale of China’s power grid tops the world, and constructions of power source and power grids have realized initial sustainable development, recently revealed Director of China Electricity Council Zhao Xizheng.

At present, the length of China’s transmission line loop of 220KV or above is 328,400KM, up 14.66% year-on-year; transformer capacity of 220KV or above is 12.3KVA, up 22.36% year-on-year. Pilot demonstration projects of 1000 kV UHV and plus or minus 800KV direct current SHV have been completed successively. The total transmission capacity of three channels have totaled 47.5 million KW.
